"globaldiagvalue.jnl" is used for loading data from original NC files into ascii files, and then calculated in "analysis_single_pop" excel file. the figure is then generated by Matlab using "plot_for_figure1.m" figure 2: "surfacefluxes_3calibrations.jnl " and "surfaceDetrfluxes_3runs.jnl" are used to get fluxes numbers from each model. "surface_NPZD_inventory.jnl" is used to get inventory numbers from each model. "data_for_figure2_part1.m" and "data_for_figure2_part2_expo_contri.m" can plot fluxes data in bar plots. The final plot is then created in graphic software based on the data in all 3 text files in its folder. figure 3: Ferret v7 script for this plot is "surface_NPP_Export_N.jnl". figure A1: Ferret v7 script for this plot is "vertical_profile_NPO_4basin.jnl". figure A2, A3, A4: the ferret script for each plot is included under their respective output data folder. e.g., for A4, the script is under "ERL2019Cali/calibrations_output_data/FeDyn"
