An scaling factor for the aerosol forcing strength (aero_scal) in the model has been added to the &embm control.in namelist. With the updated CMIP6 Aerosol Optical Depth input a scaling factor of 0.7 translates into sulphate aerosol forcing of 1.0356 W/m2 in 2011. The default is 1.0.
The partitioning of the aerosol direct and indirect effect has been updated using the mean values for the 2004-2014 from the Forster dataset, 05 June 2019 (0.343/1.241).

The pre-industrial CO2 concentration is a new &embm control.in namelist variable, with a default value of 278.05158ppm.

The output variable A_carbemit is now again equal to the accumulated diagnosed fossil emissions.

The subroutine co2forc has been updated following the formulations from Etminan et al. (2016).

The option O_mtlm_nsoil_veg updates the vegetation parameters to improve 2.10 vegetation distribution, and land-use change emissions.  Two example files (veg7 and veg12) give updated parameters. 

The litter flux was constrained to positive values only to prevent negative soil carbon values:          LIT_C(L,N) = max(c0,LIT_C(L,N))
